Nuggets Beat Lakers 114-103 to Win Western Conference Title
Jamal Murray's Buzzer-Beater Lifts Denver to Victory

The Denver Nuggets are the 2023 Western Conference champions after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 114-103 in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. Jamal Murray hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give the Nuggets the win and send them to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2009.
Murray finished with 26 points, seven rebounds, and five assists for the Nuggets. Nikola Jokic added 22 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists, while Aaron Gordon had 18 points and seven rebounds. LeBron James led the Lakers with 30 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, while Anthony Davis added 22 points and 10 rebounds. The game was close throughout, with neither team leading by more than eight points at any point in the game. The Lakers led by four points with just over two minutes remaining, but the Nuggets rallied to tie the game on a three-pointer by Murray with just over a minute to play.
After the Lakers missed a shot on their next possession, the Nuggets had the chance to win the game in regulation. Murray drove to the basket and drew a foul from James. Murray made the first free throw but missed the second, giving the Lakers a chance to tie the game. However, James missed a three-pointer at the buzzer, and the Nuggets went on to win the game in overtime.
The Nuggets will now face the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. Game 1 of the NBA Finals will be played on Thursday, June 1, in Miami.
