United States is the defending champion of the tournament after defeating Sweden to win the 2022 edition in Edmonton, Canada.
Canada downed in quarters at World Juniors Matthew Wood and Jake Furlong both found the back of the net and assisted on each other’s goal as Canada downed Switzerland 4-3 in quarterfinal action at the 2022 IIHF world junior hockey championship Tuesday. The victory sends Canada to the semifinals where they’ll face off against Czechia on Wednesday. The Czechs upset the United States 4-2 in their quarterfinal matchup earlier Tuesday.
