College football fans who have been missing their favorite video games can finally rejoice, as EA Sports has officially announced the release date for College Football 25. The game is set to hit shelves on July 29, 2024, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

In addition to the release date, EA Sports also unveiled the covers for the Standard and Deluxe Editions of the game. The Standard Edition cover features Bryce Young, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama, while the Deluxe Edition cover features C.J. Stroud, the Ohio State quarterback who is considered to be one of the top prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft.

No gameplay footage was shown during the announcement, but EA Sports did say that the game will feature the latest advances in the Frostbite engine, which will provide more realistic graphics and gameplay.

College Football 25 will be the first college football video game from EA Sports since 2013, when the company lost the rights to the NCAA name. EA Sports has since regained the rights to the NCAA name, and the new game will be the first to feature the NCAA name since 2014.
