Marco Rubio, Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, stated on Sunday that neither Russia nor Ukraine is likely to achieve a resolution in their ongoing conflict. Despite President Biden's assertion that US troops will not engage in direct combat in Ukraine, Rubio believes that America must intervene.
Rubio, a Republican Senator from Florida, warned against the Biden administration relying on diplomacy. He emphasized that a Russian invasion of Ukraine is imminent and urged the administration to take immediate action to prevent it.
Rubio, who is also a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, tweeted that Russian President Vladimir Putin appears to be preparing for an invasion. He stressed that it would be a grave mistake for the US to underestimate the threat posed by Russia.
